Car Description:
Originally, I purchased this rat infested dinged up WRX in my dream to create the car I saw in the video games we all grew up with and the cars we saw rip around bends in a race on TV and real life, some saw a real pile of a car I saw a vision us car enthusiasts can see when no one else can see it, and when I drove it merely brought pure joy to me as if a was a child again, looking out the window of the car as you rode in the back seat and see that super cool car next to you at the light as you egg it on to rev at the light and listen to the symphony as it peels of leaving you smiling! Simply all it takes to create that moment that makes a lifetime enthusiast. The car has been restored recently with the laborious process of fitting the WRC style widebody kit. Spending hours learning all the ins and outs body work, starting with the full tear down of the car and mock fitting of the kit learning that it would a lot harder that first expected, turned to trimming the kit and cutting the inner wheels of the rear and welding to modify the depth and installing the rear widebody kit using 3M panel bond. Filling the holes and imperfections between the kit and the car to create a smooth and uniform surface to create the appearance of no visible gap between the kit and the car. Spacing and modifying the bumpers and front fenders to fit only to spend days prepping and sanding to paint the car in the iconic O2C the iconic World rally blue that we all know and love! Nearing this epic journey closer to my dream of creating my replica of a 2004 WRC car with plans of a cage and all full drivetrain swap and restoration. The cars modifications include, Engine swap of a JDM Ej205 with JDM ECU and AVCS upgraded 4 pot and 2 pot piston braking systems with DBA pads and steel braided brake lines, coil overs, Whiteline front ball joints and tire rod ends, kart boy front and rear sway bar end links, HKS carbon fiber cat back, nameless downpipe, Cobb CAI, Cobb boost controller, Mishimoto radiator and radiator fans, HKS blowoff valve, nameless upgraded top mount intercooler, tuned using the Cobb access port for 93 fuel, lastly with a kart boy short throw shifter.
