Car Description:
This car is mostly stock & freshly imported from Japan! Aside from an aftermarket HKS Boost Gauge on the dash, aftermarket coolant hoses, coil-overs, wheels & exhaust. It has an immaculate interior for a 1997 STi with 165,000 km or about 100k miles on the dial. Although the exterior has seen some better days with slightly fading clear coat, it's quite an example of an ALL ORIGINAL 1st generation STi of which only 1,006 Version III GF8 were ever produced WORLDWIDE with 494 in Feather-White in 1997! It sure throws you back into a time of Subaru's golden era. The factory horsepower #'s for this generation STi with the infamous "Boxer Master 4" EJ20k motor, 5speed STi transmission married to a vf23 STi ball bearing turbo, all together boast a whopping "~280bhp", though there is controversy of Japan's 1990's "Gentleman's Agreement" which some believe the car truly pushed around ~300bhp stock with 7.8k RPM & 1.2BAR boost. Not bad for a lightweight 2800lbs Subaru! They sure don't make them like they used too!
