Car Description:
to be clear: the engine, ecu, and most of the wiring is from a 1998 Subaru Legacy - the car is a 1973 VW Bus that I retrofitted all the subaru guts into. The swap uses a kennedy engineering flywheel and adapter plate combo. many 3d printed parts were used to adapt the intake, plumb in the maf and pcv lines, and flip the throttlebody. Entirely custom cooling system is mounted in the rear engine compartment, with two serially connected dual pass aluminum radiators cooled by the stock cooling ears on the vw coupled by two SPAL fans. The vw fuel system was adapted for Fuel injection and a walbro fuel pump is used to drive the system. The stock subaru wiring harness was meticulously cut out of the donor car, stripped down and re-loomed, and then integrated into the stock vw bus wiring system so the stock ignition key can be used. The exhaust uses the stock headers modified with a Nissan 240/300 z era muffler.
