Car Description:
My car is a 1988 Subaru XT GL coupe I purchased in 2012. My father first purchased it in 2002 as a parts car for his XT6 but the parts were incompatible and this car still ran great. Shortly after he got it the engine had cracks in the heads (fairly common on EA82’s ) unfortunately the cost to repair the engine was around 950 so my father purchased a low mileage JDM EA82 instead only problem was it was a turbo variant and for smog my father would have to have it converted full turbo or have the engine converted NA ….it was converted to NA for smog needless to say she had no power It served the daly household for another 8 years until it was purchased by family friends who had it for about 4 years. With my 1969 caprice leaking like a Harley I had to purchase a secondary car to my surprise the wooldriges were selling the XT to me for 400.00 ironically the same price my father bought it for in bridgeport in 2002.I am the fourth owner at 240,000miles on the clock she’s had a heck of an adventure and plenty more to come. In 2022 I finally showed up and enjoyed the event at Subiefest though I ended it with a bang blowing up my low mileage JDM EA82T (I’m having the small hole welded back up for a future rebuild) I spent since then rebuilding my spare EA82T to get her ready for 2023 but alas the rebuild was delayed so I’ll be ready this year below is a small list of mods
