Car Description:
Say hello to YAGI, Japanese for GOAT, something my kids call me because I love hiking up to those hidden places. No, it does not mean Greatest Of All Time, but Get Out And Travel (or Greatest Of All Treks) :) The name came about nearly a decade ago with my first crosstrek, and Subaru, a hyper blue 2016, my husband bought me new. I became very attached to that car, but when Subaru came out with something with a few more horses, I couldn't pass that up given I like to go off-roading to find landscapes for my photography and for camping.
Interesting little fact; Subaru actually had a Yama Yagi version back in the late 70's - early 80's on the Brat and Wagons. I did not realize this until I purchased this 2021. My salesman, who was from a dealership out East, told me they had one on their lot back there. It must have been Karma ;)
When I ordered this 2021, they offered a lift and wheeltire set at the dealership, so I couldn't pass that up wanting to have more clearance. Since then, here is a list of most of the modifications and camping necessities I've added to make my overlanding and off-roading experiences easier and a lot more fun and accessible.
